"Get ahead with your Christmas shopping and pick up a designer treat for friends and family at Young Blood: Designers Market.

One of Sydney’s only curated markets, Young Blood showcases innovative designs from talented and creative young minds right across the country.

A range of stalls featuring beautifully handcrafted designer products are guaranteed to fill the Christmas stocking, including fashion, jewellery and object design, homewares and textiles, graphic work and other new products.

Some of the designers and products featured include:
  • Designer Kristy-Lee Agresta’s unique jewellery utilising Laminex and Sterling Silver.
  • Bold and beautiful neon cushions, bags and purses by The Print Society.
  • A series of faceted vessels and light-shades by designer Phil Cuttance, part of a selection of local designs sourced by online site The Minimalist
  • Ruben+Kosch’s unique and playful Cliques modular lighting system.
  • Original and vibrant prints by Sixhands featured on wallpapers, fabrics, rugs, cushions, lampshades & other accessories.
  • Stunning silk scarves and prints featuring custom-designed artworks and illustrations by L’Avion.
  • Quirky and functional everyday objects celebrating Scandinavian design by Supertrooper Studio including homewares, toys, posters and other paper products.
Once you’ve soaked up the design talent on offer, drop in to our Make Lounge and design your own tea towel or hankie. Spin a yarn, tell tales, copy that witty text message or write a pithy one-liner and immortalise it on fabric using a selection of alphabet stencils, rubbing plates, fabric felt pens and crayons.

Across the weekend be entertained by Sketch the Rhyme and their multi-media/visual arts show, a unique take on a traditional gameshow that blends freestyle rap with live drawing, all to the sounds of a funk band. Watch as artists draw on paper which is filmed live and projected onto a large screen. The rappers freestyle about what is being drawn through a number of improvised games influenced by Pictionary, Mr Squiggle, graffiti art and animation.

Plus there’ll be food and drink and of course plenty of fabulous exhibitions to explore.
Don’t miss it!"
