Introducing FundBreak -Crowdfunding Creative Project and Ideas

FundBreak is a Sydney-based crowd-funding web platform created by Rick Chen and Alan Crabbe. The FundBreak mission is to seek and assist fund creative projects by giving anyone an opportunity to set up their project to receive funding through crowd-funding.

If you are not familiar with "crowd funding", then here is a brief explanation...

"Crowd funding (sometimes called crowd financing or crowd sourced capital) describes the collective cooperation, attention and trust by people who network and pool their money together, usually via the Internet, in order to support efforts initiated by other people or organisations. Crowd funding occurs for any variety of purposes, from disaster relief to citizen journalism to artists seeking support from fans, to political campaigns". (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crowd_funding)

With FundBreak, users can post their projects on the website and set both a target fund amount and a date by when they need to have the money funded. If they receive their targeted amount of donations by the set date FundBreak takes a small service fee and the project receives the funding. If they don't hit their targets, all donations are returned to the respective donors.

So what is FundBreak all about?

FundBreak is a new crowd funding platform and community for creative projects and ideas. Developed for artists, musicians, filmmakers, journalists, designers, entrepreneurs, inventors, event organisers, software developers and all other creative's, to raise funds and give project creators the break they need to realise their goals and aspirations.

How does FundBreak work?

FundBreak provides project creators with a platform to present their ideas to a worldwide audience. If anyone likes the idea, they can support it by pledging money to the creator's project. In return for support, the project creators will offer rewards depending on the level of funding; essentially differentiating itself from the normal funding process.
