There's only a few weeks to go before the end of the year 2012.
How has your year been?
If we ask you these questions what would be your answers?
What is the one thing that would really make a difference to your business right now?
What would you do?
How would you feel if you achieved it by the end of the this year?
Here's our last tips for the year 2012, and some food for thought.
Choose one task that would really make a difference to your Art & Design Practice. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to get that task completed by December 31.
Focus on what really matters to your business right now.
For the next two weeks get that one task done. Plan your action steps. At ArtSHINE we coach our clients to set their goals using the OPIC planner.
The next step is make good choices and not make excuses. Stay away from those shiny objects that distract you, and stop you achieving your goals. Make that one task a priority with real purpose in mind. It will stop you making excuses and getting caught in the procrastination trap.
The last step is to give your full commitment to do that one task and get it finished by the end of this year.
So, what is the one task you would like to achieve before the New Year?
During the Happy Holiday Break we will highlight the best of our Close Up interviews from 2012.
In the New Year 2013, we will interview more Artists, Designers and all creative professionals. So tune in in the New Year.

One of the most empowering ways for people to bond is to work towards a common goal together.
If you lead a team, having a common goal that’s clear and meaningful will have a significant impact to your people and your business.
Find that inspiring goal.
Remember, the pay cheque is only one reason people come to work. Your team wants to have a sense of belonging and feel a real part of the business. That happens when you give them a sense of purpose.
At the core people want to feel that they are doing something significant and that they are seen by others as being an important part of that something.
So, what if you are a sole trader and work on your own? How do you share your goal then? Who do you share it with?
Did you know that you can share your goals with your stakeholders?
Stakeholders are a group of individuals or groups who have an interest in the success of your business. When you are working alone and cocooned in your business you need all the support you can get. What makes your business strong and focused is to share your business goals with the people who care about what you do. The more they understand what you want to achieve the more support you’ll receive.
Never take that support for granted, and always show your gratitude for the support that you get.
Now, here’s a question... On a scale of 1-5 how would you rate the power of your goals?
Do those goals inspire you? Do they empower your people?

"Similar to the women's palette, the menswear colors for spring emphasize the need for balance with soothing neutrals accented by an array of energizing brights.
As the name implies, Tidal Foam is reminiscent of the sea washing onto the shore, driven by the force of the waves. With its slight hint of green, it's this spring's answer to khaki as the perfect neutral. Emerald remains a powerful and brilliant jewel tone, perfect for men's accessories and sportswear. Grayed Jade, a subtle, hushed green, as well as Dusk Blue, reminiscent of the calming tones of an evening sky, both act as staple, yet novel neutrals.
Anchoring Monaco Blue naturally has an air of masculinity, providing stability and depth to the palette. Pair it with Grayed Jade and Emerald for a strong, classic mixture.Alloy, a reliable mid-tone gray, is a necessity for spring. An easy, lightweight alternative to Black for the warmer months, Alloy makes a strong statement without the weight.Linen, an off-white, complexion-flattering hue, pairs well with many colors. Look for it combined with Grayed Jade, Alloy or Monaco Blue for classic combinations that balance light, mid and deep tones.
Dynamic and exciting Poppy Red plays a vital role in men's fashion trends for spring and summer. Vibrant Orange, an animated, striking hue, provides vigor and enthusiasm. The robust yellow found in Sunflower offers an earthy, Dijon-like flavor, that when combined with Emerald and Monaco Blue, creates a sophisticated update to a familiar combination."
