Vinh Van Lam & Stuart Horrex are both very proud to announce the ArtSHINE collaboration with Vibewire during 'Small Business September'.
Founded in 2000, Vibewire Youth Inc. is a dynamic non-profit organisation that supports young people to effectively shape their world through media, arts and entrepreneurial opportunities.

Vibewire acknowledges that across the world young people are making important contributions as world citizens, productive workers, entrepreneurs, consumers and agents of change.

The team at Vibewire are dedicated to encouraging and stimulating an entrepreneurial spirit by unlocking the talents, imagination and creativity of youth as drivers of change, addressing important economic, environmental and social issues within our communities.

As founding partners of Quantum Compass, a boutique coaching practice based in Sydney, Australia, Vinh Van Lam and Stuart Horrex work alongside both established and intending entrepreneurs to define their business and design their lives. Most excitingly, Vinh and Stuart have brought together experienced industry professionals, and drawn on their own extensive knowledge and experiences, to develop the Quantum Compass “Art SHINE” programme.
ArtSHINE is a specialised coaching programme for creative professionals - artists, artisans, crafters, designers, fashion labels... everyone working in the creative communities.

While this is our third year consecutive year delivering workshops as part of the NSW 'Small Business September', this will be the first year of collaboration with Vibewire. So, we're very proud to be working with Vibewire to present this series of workshops.

Transition from Full Time to Self Employment:

Are you working full time but not sure for how much longer? Are you wondering how to turn your passion, hobby, or skills into real income? Are you ready to be your own boss but not quite sure where's the best place to start? This is a workshop for those thinking of making a transition from full-time employment to self employment. For some it means opening a restaurant or cafe, for others it's becoming an artist or designer. It could be a move into consulting, or using your skills, knowledge and experience for your own profit and gain rather than for somebody else... But here's the trap, and the danger... One of the biggest issues for most new start businesses is cash flow. How many small businesses are profitable from day one? How long could you survive with little or no income as your business gets off the ground? We're here to show you another way!

As part of a small group in an informal workshop environment you can take the time you need to explore how the cash flows in your business. With real world examples and direct indusrty experience we'll explore the ways your can measure, assess, and create cash flow. This workshop is relevant to all new start, and small business intenders.

What is OPIC Planning

Focus on your Planning and your Destination !

Let's say if you don't know where you're going then how are you going to get there?
What do we mean by that?
It's very difficult to get where you want to go without a destination in mind.
Would you get in a car and just drive?
No I guess not!

To get from point A to point B you need a plan or a direction.

How often do we hear someone ask this question "Are we there yet?
and how does the person know if you are there yet if you are just out driving with no destination in mind?

In relation to our life and business we do need a road map to get where we want to be too.

So start with the end in mind... Set your purpose goals, write your clear business' vision and learn how to build a great business by having a great plan & system so you are taking control of your time...

A wise man once said "We should spend 20% of our time planning. If that seems over the top, spend a little time calculating how much time it has cost you over the years fixing mistakes, redoing tasks, or simply mudding your way around, and 20% will start to look like a small amount of time."

Using Sport as an example, Tennis player Serena Williams spends hours and days planning before her match. Her coach works with her to ensure she knows the game plan and with the ultimate aim of winning the match.
Therefore, never underestimate the power of a good plan. The key is to know what to put in it, and actually doing it too. This means understanding the goal setting process, and how this is achieved by more than simply having a good idea.

Want to learn more about your goal setting process?

It’s as simple as 1... 2... 3...
